Google PageRank and it's Importance

Google PageRank or simply PR is based upon the number of 
quality backlinks a website/blog has, which is an important factor used by Google Search to determine the importance of a web page.
Google PageRank was developed by the Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford.

PageRank was named after the Co-founder of Google Larry Page. PR scale ranges from 0-10. 0 being the lowest indexed website and 10 being the highest and most indexed website.
